Our Vision
A multimedia publishing house and creative universe built completely outside the usual industry rules. Started by Daniel Rodríguez Suárez, who writes fiction under the name Daniel Forsham, the press stands as a real example that artists can have full control over their work in today's digital world.
Our Mission
Ugly Spirit Press sees itself as carrying on the raw, no-compromise spirit of William S. Burroughs and experimental literature, but updated for our times, dealing with issues like algorithm control, creator economy exploitation, and how human connections get turned into commodities.
It publishes work that big publishers usually shy away from because it's too raw, too honest, or just not commercial enough. These are the "abominations concerning existence" that shine a light on the uncomfortable truths of modern life.
A Bold Experiment
A bold experiment in artistic freedom.
This press represents what's possible when artists reject the traditional gatekeepers and create something entirely new. Every book, every project, every creative decision comes from a place of uncompromising artistic vision rather than market considerations.
